We believe in the absolute authority of the Holy Bible, consisting of 66 books in the Old and New
Testaments, We believe it was fully inspired by God (God-breathed), and is sufficient for all life and godliness. (2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Pet. 1:3, 19-21)
We believe that there is only one true and living God that He is a spirit, and perfect in all His
attributes and that His Holiness is beyond our comprehension. He possesses omniscience (all
knowing), omnipotence (all-powerful), omnipresence (present everywhere), and is immutable
(unchanging). We further believe that He is sovereign in His position, just in all His decrees, and
righteous in all His actions. We believe in the unity of the Godhead which consists of three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each member of the Godhead possesses personality and each is worthy of honor, worship, devotion and love, and that each has a distinctive but harmonious part in the work of redemption. (I Cor. 8:6, I John 5:7, Rev. 4:11)
a. The Father:
We believe that the Father is truly God, and that in the Godhead He occupies a
functional but not a positional superiority, and that it is to the glory of the Father
that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. (John 8:42, John 14:16-
17, Phil. 2:9-11)
b. The Son
We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary,
incarnate in human flesh as no other man ever was, or can be, born of woman; that He is
both the Son of God and God the Son, total deity and total humanity, two distinct natures
in one unique person without any confusion or mixture, and that He never ceased to be
God for one instant in His humiliation as the Son of Man. We further believe in His
sinless life, His substitutionary death upon the cross for our sins, His physical
resurrection from the grave, His ascension to the right hand of the Father where He ever
liveth to make intercession for the believers. We believe in His personal, bodily, visible
and pre-millennial return to the earth. (John 1:1-2, Matt. 1:20, I Pet. 2:24, Eph. 1:7, Acts
1:9-11, Heb. 7:25)
c. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with God the Father and God the
Son and of the same nature, that in His relation to the unbelieving world; He convicts of
sin, of righteousness and of judgment. We further believe that He bears witness to the
truth of the Gospel in preaching and testimonies, that He is the Agent in the new birth,
that He seals, endues guides, teaches witnesses, sanctifies, and helps the believer. (John
14:26, 16:8-11, Matt. 28:19, Heb 9:14, Luke 1:35, Gen. 1:1-3, Acts 5:30-32, Eph. 1:13-14,
Acts 11:16, Luke 24:49, Rom. 8:14, 16, 26, 27)
We believe in the personality of Satan, that he is the unholy god of this age and the author of all the powers of darkness, and is destined to the judgment of an eternal justice in the lake of fire. (Matt. 4:1-3, 2 Cor. 4:14, Rev. 20:10)
We believe that God created all things visible and invisible in six literal days according to the
Genesis account, apart from any process of evolution. (Gen. 1 & 2, Col. 1:16-17, John 1:3, Rev. 4:11)
We believe that man was created in the image of God as male and female. Man is a unique and
direct creation of God, created in innocence, but by voluntary transgression fell from his sinless
state, the result of which is that all of mankind are now sinners by nature and by choice, positively inclined to evil and utterly devoid of that righteousness required by the law of God and therefore under just condemnation without defense or excuse. (Gen. 1:27, 3:1-6, Eccl. 7:29, Rom. 5:12-19, 3:9-12, 7:14-17, Is 53:6, Jer. 17:9, Gal 5:19-21, 3:22-24)
We believe that eternal salvation comes by the Grace of God when we repent of our sins and put
our faith (trust) in the Lord Jesus Christ and His shed blood, and that we are justified and sanctified and our spiritual walk and growth begins. We define the above terms as follows:
a. Eternal Salvation - all who take Christ as their Savior are born from above and are
eternally secure in Christ - John 10:28-29, Rom. 8:35-39, Phil. 1:6
b. Grace of God - God’s gift to undeserving souls. - Eph. 2:8-9
c. Blood Atonement - that Christ voluntarily died in the sinner’s place, the just for the unjust;
Christ, the Lord, shed His precious blood and bore our sin in His own body on the tree.
2 Cor. 5:21, I Pet. 3:18
d. Repentance - is a change of mind and purpose toward God, and is a part of salvation, and
that personal faith (belief) in the shed blood of Jesus Christ is the only condition of
salvation. John 3:36, Acts 20:21
e. Justification - is the act of God whereby our legal standing in heaven is changed and
we are declared righteous. We believe that anyone who comes to God and trusts Christ for
salvation is justified. - Acts 13:39, Is. 53:11, Rom. 5:1-9, 3:24
f. Sanctification - means “to be made holy” or “to be set apart” for a Holy purpose.
I Thess. 5:3
We believe that the righteous (believers in Christ) immediately upon death enter the presence of
Christ to await their resurrection to life, and that the wicked (unbelievers) are detained in hell to
await their resurrection to damnation. (Luke 23:43, I Thess. 4:16-17, Rev. 20:13, 15)
a. The Universal Church: We believe that the church universal is a New Testament
Institution, unknown to the Old Testament prophets; established by Jesus Christ who is
the sole head; revealed through the Holy apostles, empowered and perpetuated by the
Holy Spirit (His “body” for service and His “bride” for glory). It began with the New
Testament Saints and will be consummated at the coming of Christ in the rapture. (Matt.
16:18, Col. 1:18, I Cor. 12:12-14, Eph. 1:22-23, I Thess. 4:13-18)
b. The Local Church: We believe that the local church consists of a group of born-again
Immersed believers organized according to the scriptures; independent, self-governing
and having pastors and deacons as its Biblical officers; united for common service and
fellowship; meeting together for worship of God, by teaching, preaching and observing
the ordinances; serving one another in the love of Christ. (Acts 2:41-42, I Tim. 3:1, 8,
Phil. 1:1, I Tim. 4:13)
We believe that God has given us two ordinances: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
a. Baptism: We believe in the immersion of the believer in water as the Biblical mode of
baptism and that it is a pre-requisite to church membership.
(Acts 8:36-38, Matt. 28:19)
b. The Lord’s Supper: We believe in the communion of the Lord’s Supper as a privilege
unique to those who are believers in Christ and is a commemorative act entered into
only after appropriate self-examination. (I Cor. 11:23-28)
We believe that God created man and woman after His own Image, and that God has ordained
marriage, consisting of one man and one woman, to be the foundation of the family and to be the only legitimate and Godly expression of sexuality. (Genesis 1:27)
